Meet our team

Born out of a love for cabinetry and fine woodworking.

Our core team of artisans brings a multi-disciplinary approach to every project — and we do it all under one roof on Johns Island.

Four people working in a woodworking shop. One person is using a table saw, two are operating a large green machine, and one is reading a blueprint. The shop has various woodworking tools, lumber, and storage shelves along the walls.

Mike

Founder & head craftsman

Mike has worked with his hands his whole career — roofing, tile, finish and build carpentry, general construction — before apprenticing under a master cabinetmaker and finding his calling. That’s 20+ years in the trades, 15+ in custom cabinetmaking and 10 in fine woodworking — the kind of experience that turns into instinct. Today he works alongside some of Charleston’s top interior designers, and he’s hands-on in every project, big or small.

Justin

Detail & finish lead

Justin studied engineering, went to medical school and became a licensed physician — then fell in love with carpentry eight years ago and never looked back. Where Mike brings instinct, Justin brings method — he’ll dial in a setup until every edge comes out consistent and smooth. He also leads our lacquer work, which is more art than most people realize: what to coat, and how, depends on a multitude of factors, down to the day’s temperature and humidity.

Rebecca

Lead designer

Rebecca sold a successful business on King Street, became a National Kitchen & Bath Association certified designer, and worked for interior designers before branching out on her own.

Christina

Marketing lead

Christina studied economics at Stanford, went to business school at Wharton, and does freelance marketing and furniture building in her spare time.

The shop

Design, build, finish, install.

Every project is fabricated, assembled and lacquer-finished in our Johns Island shop, then installed by the same people who built it. No hand-offs between vendors, no lost details.
